I was surfing the web when I came across this pictogram cum sign.
It's a bad example of a pictogram in my opinion because the drowning figure looks like the letters l-o-l which stand for Laugh Out Loud in sms/email language. This warning sign thus becomes something close to a bad joke rather than a sign that actually tells people to call 911 in cases of emergency.
What should be done:
Maybe a bit more detail can be drawn on the drowning figure, to make it look more like a person, rather than 3 letters that spell out the acronyms of Laugh Out Loud.
Just my two cents worth. :)
